We only knew about some issues caused by the update, as Insiders reported problems with Cortana. However, Microsoft today finally released the changelog for KB3176929, so Insiders can now finally have an idea about what they installed yesterday. Here’s what’s new in KB3176929 update for Windows 10 Preview: The update is currently only available to Insiders on PC, and not for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview. But if you take a closer look at the changelong, you’ll notice one important change for Windows 10 Mobile. This clearly indicates that the update should also be released for Windows 10 Mobile Preview soon.

Improved reliability of background tasks and extensions for Microsoft Edge. Addressed licensing issue that prevents apps from activating. Addressed issue that prevents changing display orientation after attaching a keyboard dock. Addressed issue with scheduled update scans that are delayed during Connected Standby. Addressed issue that sometimes prevent Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML) apps from receiving keyboard input. Addressed issue with event logging that creates very large virtual allocations. Addressed issues that cause high battery drain when a Windows 10 Mobile device is idle or the screen is off. Addressed additional issues with Cortana, Microsoft Query and Microsoft Excel compatibility, and the Korean Input Method Editor (IME).”

Of course, as soon as Microsoft release KB3176929 for Windows 10 Mobile Insiders, we’re going to make sure to let you know. RELATED STORIES YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT:
