The OneDrive update was released a couple of weeks ago for Windows phones and unfortunately, after installing it, users found that OneNote for Windows 10 stops syncing to OneDrive. The app also showed the 80070005 error code along with the following messages: “We can’t complete the task. Try again.” or “You don’t have permission to edit this file and the sync has stopped. Contact the owner.” More specifically, personal Office documents that users accessed through their Microsoft accounts weren’t synced. School and work documents did, sync correctly and the issue didn’t impact them. The issue seemed to be limited to Windows Phone 8.1 devices and it didn’t affect the Windows 10 iterations of the affected apps.

If you’re still experiencing an issue, you can post in the Microsoft Answers Community for additional support and expert advise.
