Gamers really hoped that EA would fix this bug. The fact that the issue is still present actually kills a big part of the joy of the game. Here’s how one user describes this problem: It seems that the flat grass issue is not actually a problem, but rather a choice that EA made. 3D grass is simply not supported on a series of GPU cards. Surprisingly, 3D grass texture is available on a series of low-end GPUs.

How to fix 3D grass issue on FIFA 18

We’re sure that EA will eventually broaden 3D grass support. However, if you don’t want to wait until the company rolls out a patch, we’ve got a quick solution for you. Well, this solution works on the GTX 960M.  But you can try it on other GPUs at your own risk. There a FIFA mod that enables 3D grass support on PC. All you need to do is download it on your PC, replace the “.ini” file in the patch folder with the one you downloaded and paste the .dll in the main FIFA folder. That’s it, you should be able to play football on 3D grass now. You can download the FIFA 18 3D grass mod from ModdingWay. Let us know if this fix worked for you. Be aware that modding a game might lead to certain issues and/or limit certain features. We can’t guarantee whether this will work for you, but it’s worth a try.
